Ait Benhaddou
Ait Benhaddou is the most photographed ksar in Morocco — a fortified clay village stacked against a hillside above the Ounila River. UNESCO listed since 1987, it has stood in for Jerusalem, Thebes and Yunkai in over thirty films.

Two to three hours is enough for a thorough visit. Stay overnight in a kasbah hotel opposite for the sunrise light.
Entry fee?
Free to enter the ksar. A small fee may apply to cross the river bridge in high season or to view some rooftops.
